Coalition Meeting

March 6, 2010

Next Saturday, March 6 th the LANCC will meet at the Glassell Park Community Center following a community forum regarding the City's budget crisis sponsored by the Glassell Park NC.

The Glassell Park forum which is open to the public will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 10:30 AM.

Council Member Bernard Parks will be speaking on the budget from 9:00 to 9:30.

Following the budget forum at 10:30 AM the LANCC will hold a meeting to expand upon the forum and to explore the future of DONE in light of the planned reduced staffing and funding.  The LANCC meeting will adjourn at 12:00.

The doors will be open at 8:30 AM and we understand some light refreshments will be served.  For everyone's convenience we have attached copies of the GPNC forum flier and the LANCC agenda.  A copy of the draft minutes from the February meeting will be sent out before the meeting.

Our goal is to find out what NC members and stakeholders think about the issues.  We are over 40 neighborhood councils and welcome everyone to this open process.  Don't be left out!  Send a delegate from your neighborhood council to represent you in this important event. LANCC's Primary Mission: "Establish a formal structure for NC's to speak with a collective voice on City issues."
