Dear Friends:

An Ad Hoc meeting of the Citywide Issues Group often convenes immediately following the
Alliance of Neighborhood Councils Forum. Please see the invite and info below:

Here's the info for the meeting of the

Alliance of Neighborhood Councils

The Citywide Alliance of Neighborhood Councils

On Saturday, May17th, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will be speaking to the regular bi-monthly Forum sponsored by the Los Angeles Citywide Alliance of Neighborhood Councils at LA City College in East Hollywood.

The Mayor will address the current City budget shortfall of over $400 million, along with his proposals to rim spending and increase revenue to cover the gap. Dramatic proposals include layoffs of City workers, fees for library transfers and reductions in Park Rangers. His remarks will be followed by a question and answer period.

Planning Commission President Jane Ellison Usher will address the impacts related to the Density Bonus law recently enacted by the City in response to SB1818 and other citywide Planning issues.

The Forum will be held in the Faculty and Staff Center on the campus of LA City College, beginning at 9:30 am. The Campus is located on Vermont Avenue one block north of Melrose Avenue. The site is accessible by Metro Red Line (Vermont/Santa Monica/LACC stop), the Hollywood Freeway (just north of the Vermont exit) and by the Vermont Rapid Bus route. Free parking is available on Campus. Please see our website at www.allncs.org for more information.

This will be a unique opportunity to engage the Mayor and President Usher on Neighborhood Council issues. Our Forums are open to all interested neighborhood council stakeholders throughout the City. We encourage every neighborhood council to have a representative at the Forum to report back on the Mayor's positions.

See you on the 17th.
