Here's
one of our current issues:
Los
Angeles International Airport (LAX) Expansion
The Citywide Issues Group urges your
Neighborhood Council to take a position on the following issue which
is to come before full City Council soon.
The Mayor and Councilperson Cindy Miscikowski urge the Council to
Pass Plan D re: Los Angeles International Airport Expansion at a
cost of approximately $9.6Billion.
They urge full passage of the Plan, but will subsequently adopt
the Consensus Plan which calls for a central car-rental location,
the Green Line connection to the Airport, some sort of a people
mover.
Plan D calls for the removal of the Northern Terminals, Central
Parking Structure and a Passenger gathering terminal near Century
Blvd. and the 405.
The Construction Unions are very much in favor of Plan D.

The Citiwide Issues Group Proposes that Each N.C. vote on the following:
Supporting:
The_________________________N.C. supports Plan D for major remodeling
of the Los Angeles International Airport.
The_________________________N.C. supports the Consensus Specific
plan as proposed by Councilwoman Miscikowski for the remodeling
of the Los Angeles International Airport.
Opposed:
The___________________________N.C. opposes Plan D for major remodeling
of the Los Angeles International Airport.
The___________________________N.C. opposes the Consensus Specific
plan as proposed by Councilwoman Miscikowski for the remodeling
of the Los Angeles International Airport.
